The first two big decisions you need to make for your wedding are when and where! But which decision was more important to you?? Did you fall in love with a venue and take whatever date they had open? Or are you set on a specific date to tie the knot, and willing to find a venue that works? Which...

Which came first for you? Your wedding venue, or your wedding date?

My husband and I knew the venue a few years in advance. We went there for the first time for his company Christmas party one year and immediately fell in love!! When the time came for us to get married, we knew exactly where we wanted the wedding and didn't care when it would be.

We had a date in mind and 2 venues. One venue never responded after letting us know our date wasnt available so we went with the other venue. It didnt have the date we wanted so 5 dates later we got the venue.

We picked the date based on many factors, but the main was the Saturday closest to our anniversary month dates. Thanks for asking!

Wedding date. It made it easier to narrow down venue choices based on if they had our date.

We did pick our date based on our venues availability, the venue was more important to us than our date! We figured any date we get will be special.

Definitely picked the date first! And then reached out to about 30 different venues before being blessed with Hidden Creek in Heath, TX (Dallas area) 😍 #****

Venue! I actually was more focused on the date at first, but fell in love with a venue that didn’t have that date available. I loved the venue more than the date I had, so I went from there!

I fell in love with a venue and after that, the date didn’t matter. I wanted to pick a time of year and I still just made whatever worked for that venue because I loved it so much!

We had a few weekends in mind, and narrowed the vendor search by those that had availability. It was nice to have the flexibility both ways!

We knew we wanted a Spring wedding so that helped narrow down venues. Once we found the venue we loved then we used their availability to figure out our specific date.

We picked our venue because we wanted somewhere extra special - family and friends are #1 to us. We're getting married at the same place my parents were married in 1984!! They are stilled married 35 years later!

Venue! We had a first choice for venue and then talked with them to see what date would work best.

We went for a tour of the venue and really loved it and was advised of the available dates. So venue was first and then date.

The date came first because it was so close to the day we met.
