Me, Chiavari chairs. My venue charges $4.00 per chair which will be almost $500... My sister paid $700 for her chair covers and sashes... Team CHIAVARI! LOL

Honestly, Chivari chairs aren't really my taste, but I would pick them over chair covers any day. As an interior designer, it kind of infuriates me that people even make chairs as ugly as some locations have.

No preference on Chair type - but am running into the venues I am looking at have the chiavari in gold and that means for my Navy, Silver and White wedding, I will have to have the added expense of covers which doesn't make me happy.

I love Chiavari chairs! Our venue provides them... they are kind of expensive but definitely adds a regal look!

Ooooh, chiavaris any day. We splurged on them. It's one of those things I don't notice if it's not there, but if it IS there, it DEFINITELY dresses up a room.

I'm with MrsO, I kinda despise chair covers/sashes/bows/etc. If we hadn't gone Chiavari, we would have gotten plain white wood folding chairs and called it a day.

Chiavari chairs, hands down. I hope we can make them fit into our budget!

Mine came with Chiavari chairs, and there was no need to cover them. I learned quite a bit from Hayley. Team Honeymoon! lol

Not sure if I even mentioned it to her but Hayley and a couple others taught me about the areas I could cut and clip in and I ended up actually having a HM budget. At the beginning of my planning, we did not have money for a HM at all.

Chiavari chairs are beautiful! i wish our venue had them included, because we are definitely not paying for them (i heard they can be as expensive as $10 per chair at some places!)

Chiavari chairs are $4/extra per chair. We're going with the standard white chair..which in all actuality, are more comfortable (goes with what Christina said).

    Chiavari chair - love them.

For those girls that do not like chair covers, sashes or bows, what do you think about chiavari chairs with sashes?

I'm thinking about using them for my last row only.

I would love the Chiavari chairs, but they are $7.00 a chair. I am going to use the free chairs with the venue that I found, which are plain black chairs. They will sit a butt. We may do sashes on the chairs, but I am doubting we will do chair covers, I think 6 months after the wedding I'll look back and be glad I saved the $500 for chair covers for something else. I have a $6000 budget and I am with the other ladies. Team Honeymoon!

I love Chiavari chairs, but there is no way they were fitting in my budget - and since I don't think the chairs make or break a wedding, they weren't happening. I am going with chair covers I bought for $2 a piece and plan on selling after the wedding - as there is nowhere to rent them around my area.

Although it’s an old post. I personally don’t think chair covers with sashes are tacky at all. I think they can actually look nice if you do it the proper way. (Depends on the colors too) Personally, Chiavari chairs are not really my thing, I don’t think they’re ugly, but I wouldn’t say they’re beautiful. They’re just ok to me. But they’re included in our package, so I’ll use them anyway. The chair covers with sashes can look nice like this 👇🏻
