Which is more important to you: your date or your venue?

At first I thought the venue would be more important. I booked a nice room in a beautiful banquet hall but the date that we wanted would be a lot more expensive and it wasn’t available. So, we put the deposit down and booked for a random date. A few weeks went by and we just weren’t feeling it due to the date change. I would say it was the date for me. We got our deposit back, used it as a down payment for a new car, and booked something much smaller.

Our original date was booked at the venue. So we moved our date to the next day, which is now on a Sunday and the cost is cheaper. The venue was more important to us.

I new where I wanted the venue and I wanted a October/fall wedding. Luckily the venue had dates available that I wanted. 😁

Both are very important to us. I think we would rather change the date over our venue though. We are getting married on his parents' property. The date we chose is around the time we first met, but we could always change it to a different date.

For us I think the "when" was more important because we would have to do invitations and send them to everyone so they would know and prepare themselves. Both the 'when' & 'where' is important but it all depends on the style and the way you want your wedding !

Where is was definitely important to me. Within a few weeks of being engaged we were looking for places because we understood how having the date we wanted wasn't always guaranteed. But luckily we found a vendor that had everything we wanted, was in our budge, and had our ideal wedding date available. It's a win-win situation for us!

We found a wedding venue that was open for our wedding date. So excited!!

We orginally had 10/10/2020 for our date but our cabins surrounding the venue became booked. We had to change the date because we loved our venue. It was a really hard decision because we had such a great feeling about the date. Now I'm not so excited for the new date but that's not what really matters!

It came down to the venue for us so it changed the date by a day. So happy and excited only 476 days away!

We chose our date first, and found a perfect venue that had everything we could want that had our date open. 🧡

We picked this as an ideal date for planning etc. Dina actually came up with the date has it has significant numbers in it from our history together. This makes it beautiful.

We found a venue that we loved, and then worked our date around large activities in the city happening next year. We wanted our guests to have easy access to the hotel without interference from the conventions occuring next year. As we were looking over a year out, all but one date looked at was available

I focused on the where and picked the when based on what was available

Both. My date and venue was important to me.

The where! Budget is the hardest thing to work with because my venue has to be perfect. Indoor or outdoor I’m open to it all, as long as I can bring my vision alive. Whimsical, romantic tonsof white lights , lanterns, hanging flowers and greenery... I see it. And when I find that venue that falls within our budget the date can be planned around!!

The date, but when I found a couple of venues that I liked I was more flexible on the exact date. In the end, I found the perfect venue WITH the date I wanted.
