Which is more important to you: your date or your venue?

When you made those first big wedding decisions, which was more important to you? Were you set on choosing a specific date for your wedding? Or did you find the venue of your dreams first and let everything else follow? Which was more important to you? The ‘when’ or the ‘where’? Photo from Art Paper...

For me both were just as important. My fiance chose the month & I chose the date & year. We both agreed on the venue based on the number of attendees, location, & package offerings for the price

The date was the most important to us. My fiancé wanted a fall wedding so he picked the date ❤️

Hi! Since our wedding will be taking place right before Christmas, we picked Monday to ensure that we had a couple of days of relaxation right before the holidays.

We picked our venue almost 2 years ahead of the wedding so we were able to pick both the place and the date we wanted. we’re getting married on the day we met 6 years previously.

I really wanted my wedding to be in fall. I necessarily didn't have a set date in mind. Once I found the venue I fell in love with, my fiance and I discussed on the spot with the director and wanted to leave plenty of time to plan. A year and a half I felt was comfortable.

Our date is very important to us, we had to change it due to work schedules and timing unfortunately, but we were able to decide on a date we both want.

Venue for SURE, followed closely by my MOH's availability. I grew up spending every summer at this place and it's got buildings named after my family—it couldn't be anywhere else! My MOH is an opera singer and they book their seasons 3-4 years in advance, so I had to work around her schedule too. The date we've ended up with definitely wouldn't have been my first choice, but I'm good with it, especially since it means we can get going on everything else!

My date, because it's on the anniversary of the day that me and the fiance became a couple. Lucky it falls on a Saturday next year.

I got lucky because my favorite venue had dates in my ideal month, which was May. However, had that not been the case the venue was definitely more important, followed by a Saturday date because of out of town guests. I would have really picked any Saturday the venue had available because it was perfect for us and our story.

We picked our venue mainly based on availability. We toured 2 venues before that we both liked but I just couldn’t commit because of the date being booked. When we toured our venue we both fell in love instantly, and when they said our date was open we both knew it was our perfect venue!

For me, it's the date! My sister leaves to teach out of the country in early June and will be gone for 2 year. so I really want her in my wedding, so the date is 100% more important than the venue!

We booked our wedding based on dates available for our venue, there were only two dates left for the season we wanted.

Honestly, I think everything played a factor on why we chose our wedding date which is 08/20/2020.

We got together June 1st, 2016. We were thinking of choosing the same month and day, but we wanted to look into getting married in Hawaii. My eyes were stuck on the 08/20/2020 because to me they are lucky numbers. We also checked with our wedding venue choice- Kualoa Ranch (paliku gardens) to see if those dates were available.

Also! As cheesy as it sounds, we picked the numbers 20 2020 because we have a quote:
”I see my future clearly when I’m with you.”
