Which is more important to you: your date or your venue?

When you made those first big wedding decisions, which was more important to you? Were you set on choosing a specific date for your wedding? Or did you find the venue of your dreams first and let everything else follow? Which was more important to you? The ‘when’ or the ‘where’? Photo from Art Paper...

Both were very important to me. I don't know if one was more important than the other.

Both the when and why were important to me. However, doesn’t always work out that way. My first experience with this was getting super caught up on a date and then being super upset when the venue didn’t have it. The day was of no significance to us it just looked cool but a lot of people was a cool looking date so I find it is best to find your dream venue and see there availability

Definitely the date! The number 19 is very significant for us, hence 10/19/2019 will be our wedding date. (The only Saturday the 19th in 2019 other than January.)

Definitely the date! My partner and I are open to venue options available by date, and are actively looking still. We chose the date to be on the anniversary of when we started dating.

Had a month in mind, checked venues. Made sure they had a couple opens and then made the choice on the venue and then settled on the date together!

Date i wanted it to be in middle of both our birthdays on a Saturday. I counted the days (Yes sometimes I'm a little crazy) and it happened to be not a Saturday but the Saturday between is not of our favorite numbers mine 7 his 25. So I figure it was perfect 7/25/20

Our date! We’re getting married on our ten year anniversary. The venue is nice, but if they couldn’t have accommodated us for Oct. 10, 2020 we would’ve found another venue.

The venue was way more important. We were very flexible with the date, went in with sometime in/near the fall

Venue, as long as we had September we didn’t care. Our venue is spectacular and we fell in love as soon as we saw it. My fiancé proposed to me as we were viewing it for the second time.

The venue was more important. As long as we would get a day in May 2021 we were happy. We originally were looking at May 2nd 2021 but that was already book but we were still able to get May 23rd 2021. So we are happy.

Definitely the date! We will be legally married on the beach of our favorite local town with just us and our sons, but will celebrate with friends and family the following Saturday. We have several ideas on where exactly we can exchange vows depending on the weather. Our date is the anniversary of our first kiss and is pretty set in stone since she had our wedding bands engraved with the date. The venue idea (a big house on the beach with space for indoor and outdoor celebrating) was always what we wanted, but it took months to find just the right one without breaking the bank. Ironically, the venue that has EVERYTHING we wanted plus some was the least expensive option! We feel so lucky that it has all worked out.

Lucky for us our dream venue was available on our special “13th” date and in December to go with the Christmas theme I always dreamed of.

The date. While we were trying to decide when, we realized that February 22 is a Saturday this year and 222 is special to us.
