What is the order of the rings? does band go on top of the engagement ring or vice versa?

Wedding band traditionally goes on first so it is closest to your heart.

Typically the wedding band is underneath the e-ring. Some people get a set of bands that encase the engagement ring, but if you're going with just a traditional single band, it's worn underneath the engagement ring.
