Take a shot to tie the knot?

My fiancé is Irish and we had a whiskey toast at his dad’s grave. I was thinking it’d be a way to celebrate his heritage and remember his parents. We’d likely do it during our rehearsal though, because it may be difficult for him to do on our wedding day. He’s already mentioned it’ll be an emotional day for him without his parents.

This is such a cool idea! Both my husband and I are big whiskey drinkers and wish I knew about this idea before, haha. At our wedding, we just used our empty whiskey bottles for decor in our centerpieces.

If my FH wasn’t particularly religious I would so include this in the ceremony, whiskey is our thing lol
