I dreaded my hair shortly after I first met my fiance. He proposed, we are engaged and now im stuck with dreads for my wedding! what should i do? the only way to get rid of them is to shave my head or use product but they are locked and the hair will be really short not long like before the dreads....

Vanessa, I had dreadlocks for 6 years and did the big chop April of 2009. They were very long and I loved them, however; it was time for me to make a change. I did take into consideration my wedding day, I always wondered what I would do with short hair on that special day but I was so ready for a change that it didn't matter to me then and doesn't matter now. Mrs. Joseph is right, you CAN comb them out, it took my cousin 1 wk to do it and now she has relaxed hair. Consult with a professional and you should be all set. One more thought, your locks look great!! Don't cut them if you don't want to. Good luck!!
