Who all does the bride and groom buy a gift for????

Both of our familys are divorced so we don't really have the money to buy each every person a gift plus our bridesmaids. traditionaly, who do you guy gifts for? mother AND step-mother of groom? Both of our familys are divorced so we don't really have the money to buy each every person a gift plus our bridesmaids. traditionaly, who do you guy gifts for? mother AND step-mother of groom? Father of groom and stepfather of bride? Ok i know this might be confusing so let me run down the line.

my mother and HTB's father got remarried. so I have a stepfather and he has a stepmother. Do we also have to buy them gifts as well as the rest?

    As a parent/grandparent most are happy just to receive a picture from the wedding. If you can afford to purchase a photo book of the entire day that would be great however if money is tight just a pic of the two of you and a heartfelt note is enough.

    I think the full list posted at the start of the thread seems a little excessive. Everyone likes a gift but I don't think most of those people would side-eye you if you didn't. FWIW, I've been a groomsman in both my brothers' weddings (both much more expensive than mine) and neither of them got me any kind of gift - and I was totally fine with that.

    That said, we are doing gifts for the bridal party (3 groomsmen, 3 bridesmaids) and our mothers. I really don't think you need to get your coordinator anything - that's just their job.
