Been lurking here a while now, but as my wedding is going to happen, I was wondering who the bridesmaids of you ladies actually are. Are they mostly family, or friends? High school or college or work friends? Do you end up including friends or family of your partner in your bridal party? Just...

My two bridesmaids are my college friends! I have no sisters and my extended family is overseas (I'm not particularly close with my cousins, so we just invited them as guests).

First time: Sister was MOH and three friends.
This time: My two college age sons were my Best Men. I have too many good girlfriends to pick one, and I was NOT have a crew of six, lol!!!

Where did you get your emerald green dresses? I'm doing jewel tone dresses for my bridal party, and getting a true emerald dress has been hard to find!

Think about for a very long time!!!!
I definitely was trying to include everyone, or please everyone and that was a mistake. Pick the people that will make you happy and don't feel pressured to pick anyone.

I have 8 bridesmaids. My sister, bestfriend, 2 SIL's, and 4 cousins. My family is extremely close and I just new my bridal party was going to be big.

Hi! Sorry it took me so long to reply. They’re actually not completely emerald green dresses! They’re a lighter green with a black kinda mesh overlay. We got them at Dillard’s before Christmas (I think they were a winter style or something; they had the same dress in red as well).
