Who defined the relationship? You or your fiancé(e)?

He wanted to but i did! i showed up at his house and said i wanted him and wanted to be exclusive. he waited 5 months before making it official but we only had eyes for each other.

After about 2 weeks I had to ask “Um am I just suppose to guess we are in a relationship or we just kicking it, he replied you are my world and my everything and one day I will make you more than a girlfriend”

It’s funny because we both kind of assumed we were on a path to dating. We never asked each other to be boyfriend and girlfriend. We just said we should hang out one day and both assumed it was date but never stated it. I guess the kiss on the first date was the only thing that defined it.

Uhh, a doctor at an urgent care clinic kicked off the conversation for us!

We'd been dating for a month or two and were at his place making brownies for a potluck we had later in the evening. Well, he had really crappy pot holders and the brownies had been under the broiler to brown the marshmallow topping, and I burnt the heck out of my thumb.

He came into the room with me at the clinic and the doctor asked if he was my husband. I panicked and said boyfriend. After the doctor left the room, we had a very short chat and were boyfriend/girlfriend after that.

He did. He actually asked me to "be his girlfriend" and I laughed and said I thought I already was LOL

ME!! it took forever for him to define it because he was afraid after a long and unsuccessful relationship before me. I knew what I wanted and went for it!

The first day we messaged I laid it all out on the table. I knew what I wanted, and he wasn't put off. I didn't want him thinking that he was a casual encounter to me, because he'd been on my mind for 6 weeks before we spoke privately. But then being British, we don't really have the same point where things are classed as official.

The feelings were there, so one day we were out and ran into someone I knew and I introduced him as my boyfriend.

I made my feelings clear from the outset that I was looking for love, and he wasn't freaked out. He was very flattered that I'd approached him. We've considered ourselves a couple since the start.
