Who defined the relationship? You or your fiancé(e)?

We were both actually so nervous about it we decided to say it at the same time... I know it kinda started out like a middle school relationship, though we were in college. We didn't even hold hands for like a week (though he was in ROTC in college and almost always in uniform so that didn't help).

We dated for a little over a month before we both realized we were perfect for each other and didn’t want to date anyone else. Once we decided to stop seeing other people it made sense that we were boyfriend and girlfriend at that point.

FH did - twice! Lol, he asked me to be his girlfriend in Mar. 2016 (we broke up 5 months later and started talking again in Mar. 2017), and then he asked me out again in Apr. 2017.

I don’t really remember..I know he had asked me to be his girlfriend so I guess technically him but there was never really ever a doubt in any of our minds what we were to each other with or without a label

I would say that he did. I sort of thought we were going steady and then he asked my Dad permission to date me and then cordially asked me on the front steps of my parents house. Also just a little before that someone asked who I was as we attended an event together and he responded by saying “ she is my girlfriend!”

He did. After about 3 weeks of dating he asked if he could call me his girlfriend. Very sweet !

He did. A week and a half after our first date, on Valentine's Day, he said over dinner that he really liked me and wanted to be exclusive. He asked me if I wanted to be his girlfriend. Of course I said yes.

He defined the relationship by asking me to be his gf then we had some rocky moments but after we cleared it up I redifined our relationship.

We hung out for a little while and I finally just asked what we were and then following that he asked me to be his girlfriend. So that worked out nicely. Just needed a little push lol

Him... I didn't even want a relationship, but he just kept coming around and before I knew it we were dating, in love, and now 4 1/2 years later set to be married
