It's a funny story! We originally met in 2013 and I was in a relationship. He kept his feelings quiet, but moved soon after. We reconnected and moved in together as roommates on new years 2017, from then to our actual anniversary (4/20/17) he was the most considerate, loving, kind person I have ever known. I was pretty soured on relationships after the aforementioned ex, and I was very up front when we moved in that I wasn't looking for any sort of romance. He's since told me that he was so accommodating because he knew he would win me over somehow. I didn't know it then, but he was SO right!

We didn’t need to talk about that, we’ve been friends for 20 years, since kindergarten.

He did- After exclusively yet casually dating for a few months he asked "what are we?" I just kind of shrugged and then we made it official

I don’t think we ever had that moment when we didn’t know what we were. He asked me and I said yes and there has been no confusion!

We would flirt at work and whatnot but once we started to hangout outside of work, we both knew where we stood with each other.

I asked for clarification when people started to introduce me as his girlfriend and he didn't correct him. We had been friends for a few years but actually Netflix & Chilling for like a couple of months. The conversation went like:

Me: "So what are we? Would you say that you're my boyfriend at this point?"

Him: "WELL I'D LIKE TO BE, LAUREN!" Smiley xd

Wow. I really have to think on this one. I’m pretty sure it was him. He was still dating his ex but we were best friends and always together. It got to the point where people texted me looking for him Lol. But things got bad for my fiancé and his ex since she was the jealous type. Right before they broke up he admitted that they had gotten into a fight which I already knew just not the cause. He explained that she accused him of having feeling for me. He went on while I was sitting there thinking I may have to eat this dude if he doesn’t get to the point so we can go inside the restaurant for dinner Lol. Eventually, after what felt like an hour since I was starving and a little hangry Lol he did say she was right and he didn’t deny it which obviously made her mad. A couple days later they broke up and the semester had ended since we were in college when I met my fiancé. I lived about forty minutes away from the college in PA and my fiancé went back to Jersey. A couple weeks later he drove the 3 1/2 hours out to see me, I was running around my moms house cleaning and doing laundry so I lost track of time and looked like I just fought a three year old with pasta and red sauce Lol. I was really a mess. I rushed out to greet him and he was in the back seat of his car digging for something so I waited and finally he came out with a giant smile on his face and said he had something for me. So I took him inside the house and promised I would be ready in about fifteen minutes and ran upstairs to change. I came back downstairs to find him tormenting my moms cat Lol and he asked if I was planning on opening my gift. I immediately blushed and ran around in a panic looking for the gift since I threw it down somewhere to go change. He told me to look in the washing machine and there it was Lol. He bought butterfly stud earrings (which are my favorite pair of earrings to this day) and a beautiful beautiful butterfly trinket box to keep the earrings in. He took me out on our date then the next day he called me. He sounded very serious and not very talkative. So I finally asked him what was up. Then he just blurted out that he wants me to be his girlfriend and that he wanted it o be official but he didn’t know if I knew. So I told him I would love to be his girlfriend and here we are 7 1/2 years later planning our wedding. Oh and a side note his ex recently got married too in case anyone was wondering what happened to her

He did. We flew back and forth to each other for 6 months. The second month he flew here and asked me out on a boat cruise and now we’re engaged. :-)

We both kind of did it at the same time during high school to people because nobody understood we were together and wanted to realize it. They all were used to me dating outside of the school and him not really dating.

There wasn’t really a defining moment. I think we both just knew.
