Who did you share your engagement news with first?

My parents. We are closest to them in all ways. It just made sense.

It's a little fuzzy...but I think my cousin/best friend (who's now my Man of Honor) was 1st & then my mom...but don't tell her that

Technically, my gals who are now my BMs. We had been speculating for a month prior that he was going to propose, so when it happened I couldn't help but immediately send them a pic. That was on the way to his sister's house, though, who was the first we told in person.

I told my mom first. FH told his dad 2 months after we got engaged when he casually yet sarcastically asked him “when’s the wedding” and FH said “August 31”. My future father in law thought we were playing with him. FH didn’t want to tell his family until after I had my ring but they ended up finding out about a week beforehand.

I worked out that night and my sister-in-law saw the ring, so her first, when I got home I called my niece Savannah to ask her to be my maid of honor, then I sent a message to my lifetime friend Georgiana. Rob called his kids first, then his friend to ask him to be best man
