Who did you share your engagement news with first?

My mom. I called her first. Then my sister, then my dad and grandma.

We had a semi-public proposal (at a NYE party), so obviously everyone there.

Then we called/messaged our parents and his sister.

The next day, we reached out to some other family members, and then posted it on FB.

My FH’s best friend! We we’re so excited that the person we decided to spill to first was him. I wanted to tell our parents in person so we had to wait on that till we got the hotel room. But his friend is currently in Texas for work so we had to tell him immediately.

My mom and best friend were sitting right there when FH proposed to me, so this is a tie, lol

My family was there for the engagement, but we told family first.

My parents, sister & brother in law were there when it FH proposed.

My grandparents because they raised me.

Both of us shared the news with a friend first. My MOH was the very first to know

My fiance proposed right before midnight on New Year's Eve in front of my mom, sister, brother in law and nephews. We called and told his parents afterward.

Our parents, even though they had been waiting for it to happen for 3 months, and then one of my bridesmaids.

The first person we told was my best friend (and MOH) We told her the day of the engagement, and we slowly told our other friends and families over the next few weeks

My FH proposed during his basic training graduation in Texas, so my future in-laws, FSIL and boyfriend, and two of our closet friends were there to witness! The first ones I called were my parents back home in NH!

Friends because my family was there to witness the proposal.

They proposed in front of a bunch of friends so technically those friends. But we called family first before other friends.
