Working on getting a block of hotel rooms and transport to and from the hotel and venue for us and everyone else. View Quoted Comment The crazy thing is I live in colorado now and I’m from Charlotte, NC but my wedding is about 2.5 hours away from Charlotte. So I did all my diys early and left them in NC. Some stuff I took back at Christmas, but I’m still going to have to ship some stuff ahead of time and keep it at my parents or mohs house, then drive it up there that weekend. I’m also nervous about the marriage license bc I have to get it the day before and hope there’s no issues with timing or paperwork. I keep telling myself worse case scenario we can still have the ceremony and make it legal a few days later if anything goes wrong.

I’ve got the photographer, officiant, ceremony musicians, florist, hmua, and venue booked, diys done, bm dresses picked out, my dress ready to go. But I still need to book the dj, caterer, and bakery. My half of the save the dates went out Jan 3 bc my fiancé never got me his half of the list after 2 months of asking. I’m flying to the town where the venue is in March to do some tastings, have my hair trial and look at rentals!

we have them all addressed and ready to go I just wanted the website final with active Block and I finally got the email this afternoon so they could go tomorrow but i probably want to take them (wedding milestones and all that Jazz) so it will probably be Saturday

View Quoted Comment Well in NC it has to be within 60 days and we don’t have extra money/days off to fly out there again in September or October. I’m just going to call ahead to make sure we do everything right and hope it works out.

I have 577 days to go and majority of everything planned. I just want it to be wedding day but day dreaming about it helps me through the boring and bad days

View Quoted Comment Ahhh okay. Well good luck! Like you said, worst case you'll have to make it legal a little later. Luckily in CA you have 90 days beforehand to get it and my bridal shower is a month before so I think we're going to make that a longer weekend and get it then.

I'm sorry you think it's too long! For me, it's been so much less stressful. I felt like we had more time for venue tours and tastings, and I had more time to really research all the vendors before booking. My bridesmaids are all happy about the extra time to save too, since most of them have to fly to Colorado. Our guest room has been a wedding room with random decor & things for way too long but we are 6 months out now (in 4 days) and really all our major vendors are booked so I can focus on little touches.

We started at 803 days ago when we got engaged and have 527 days left till the big I do. 5 year engagment about for us.

No not yet. I don't have the money to put down on one right now and I don't want to get my hopes dashed. Hopefully once income taxes come back
