Who gets invited to rehearsal dinner

Depends on you but they may not go if they can't bring kids. It's really only people that need to be at the rehearsal for the wedding but if you want more people that's up to you.

I think it’s fine to have it be bridal party and SOs only. You should invite their SOs but I don’t think you need to invite their kids if you don’t want (with the exception of breast feeding infants of course)

View Quoted Comment I world nicely say that rehearsal is at this time with an adults only post dinner. If there are only adults in the party then just say in a nice way that only those attending the rehearsal are invited to the dinner.

I'd just factor in if they were traveling for the wedding, in which case I'd include the kids if the alternative would be leaving them in a hotel room.

We invited: immediate family, aunts & uncles & cousins (that we talk to - not ones we rarely see), wedding party & their dates & kids if they had them, and out of state guests. I think out of state guests & aunts/uncles/cousins are optional but the rest should be invited.
