Bridal party friends and family who are women that are invited to the wedding

Guests who have been invited to the wedding. Usually it's narrowed down to the local women and/or peoppe the bride considers as closer to her.

In my opinion: All bridesmaids, mother of the bride, mother of the groom, sisters & stepsisters & stepmoms of the bride & groom regardless of where they live (unless there is some strained relationship). Then all the women invited to the wedding that are in the area of the shower.

People invited to the wedding. However this doesn't mean you have to invite everyone on your grooms side that you're not even close to or don't know. I only invited my friends.

My choice would be Bridal Party, Mom and MIL, Grandmothers and Bride's closest friends.
I prefer it to be small and intimate.

It depends on your preference i suppose. More often its just the female family and friends from both sides that are invited to the wedding. I have seen some jack & jill ones which are also fun.

I’m having around 200 people at my wedding, obviously not all girls. But for my bridal shower, I’d say around 35 of my closest family & friends.
