Who goes to tasting

Kristen, on June 16, 2018 at 5:06 AM Posted in Planning 0 12
I am only allowed to have a total of 4 people at the tasting! FH and I obviously are going, but how do I pick the others?

Are any others contributing to the wedding? If both sets of parents are I would probably ask both of your mothers. If you are paying for the wedding on your own, then no one. I would just leave it the two of you.

No one else NEEDS to go. FH and I are the only ones who went to ours. If you want others there, I'd choose your mothers like PP stated.

So I should maybe have waited to post this because as I kept reading the email it stated that tastings are only done Wednesdays or Thursdays, which means it would be difficult for other people to go due to having to take off of work (I can just schedule it during my fall break and FH still has more days)

I picked our mothers since June would've been visiting during that time. His mom gave me the best date available for her about 6 months in advance but didn't plan accordingly and I wasn't changing the date so inserted his sister in law instead. It worked out perfectly that way.

Our July bride asked both my DH and I to attend her tasting. My DH was so excited!! It meant a lot to him to be included and he had good feedback which helped them make their choices. Honestly if you have to chose between the moms or dads, I would chose the dads - food is something they can really get behind!

Just FH and I went to ours. Too many opinions makes it harder to narrow down choices IMO.

We took both of our mothers and my MOH. With the 5 of us we had a great time and made some great choices.

If you're close to your mom & FMIL, it might be fun to include them. But if not (or either is too opinionated) then just go with your FH (date day!).

I brought a friend with me to ours, primarily because she has very good taste in food and just planned two weddings. We did not bring our parents to ours - primarily because I really wanted the decision to be made by those paying for the wedding (FH and I) and not be pushed into more expensive options by those not paying :-)

It was just the two of us for ours. We took into consideration what most people would eat, but overall it was our decision. It was a nice little date for us.

It will be FH and I. I'm sure if he had it his way he would want to invite his daughters. He thinks that they should be included in every aspect of our wedding. Their mom just got married and I highly doubt that she included them. I'm barely including my own daughter so I know I'm not including them. I'm fine with just us.
