Who has done pizza at rehearsal?

Courtney, on December 15, 2019 at 7:55 AM Posted in Parties and Events 0 12
Our venue will not let us bring outside food in, but it is not required that we eat there for our rehearsal.

There is a Papa John's pizza place 15 mins from the venue which would still be close enough to get back and finish up any decorating or whatever after dinner.
Would this be tacky to go to a pizza place for dinner? It would definitely be cheaper and I wouldn't have to worry about the price of including kids like I would at venue. Please give me your thoughts. Thank you! Also, we live 45 mins from venue so it isnt like we could order pizza and then go to someone's backyard. I will be staying at venue on wedding night with one of my BM's that lives out of town.

After reading the reviews, I dont think that's the one to go with. However, there is another place 18 mins away that has excellent reviews.

I've been to a rehearsal dinner that had pizza and salads and it was great. I'd suggest a local pizza place over a chain, but that's my opinion, do what works for you and your budget.

The place that is 18 mins away is not specifically a chain I don't think. They are located in MS with about 3 different locations.

We had pizza for our rehearsal and don't see any problem with it, however, are eat-in Papa John's locations common in your area? I don't believe I've ever seen one.

Yes they are, but it had too many negative reviews for me to feel comfortable with going there.

I would go to the local place. We are having pizza, salad and pasta at a local Italian restaurant.

We are doing a bar and grill that serves pizza. The plan is to purchase pizzas and beer. Keep it fun and light!

I'd try to find a sit down pizza place though!

That's what I would choose 😊, but I'm from NJ and probably a pizza snob lol.
