Who is bringing all the drama?

Weddings can easily attract drama from all sides! Have you experienced any wedding drama? Did it come from friends or family?? Next Question: Who's hosting your shower? Back to the Beginning: Friends or family?

The soon to be "sister in law" (married brother) Is bringing the drama! Telling me she will be upset if the 15 yr old is in the party & not her. The 15 yr old is the actual sister.

Not a ton of drama so far, but if I had to say, it would be my FMIL. She is not very involved in the planning, but has opinions about everything. She had a lot of people for the guest list that FH and I have not met or not seen in a long time, but they were non-negotiable. She is also helping to plan a bridal shower for me with my FH step-mom, but didn't offer and ideas or suggestions, but shot down my ideas and suggestions. Not huge things, but it's a little annoying.

I haven't had any drama thankfully! My Matron of Honor can be critical of things sometimes, but ever since I told her to stop being critical, she's seemed very supportive.

Bridesmaids. Two of them cursed me out bc I did not invite them to all the wedding dress shopping events.

My dad/stepdad is a bit of an issue, not sure how big of one just yet. Of course, I'm expecting a bit of drama all around concerning stepdad and any/all of my dads family that show up. Also keeping FH's father away from his maternal grandparents. Otherwise not too many conflicts.

Thankfully there hasn't been any drama. It would be my brother, my great aunt, or his nephew that would cause darma.

My family is definitely bringing the drama Smiley ups

The 1st major round of drama came when we decided to get married in New Orleans (where we live) instead of in my hometown, which is 4 hours away. Even though it would've been cheaper, my FMIL is in a nursing home & wheelchair bound here in New Orleans vs my mom who's perfect fine & able to travel. My mom doesn't mind, but I had other family members complaining. To which I responded "F--- 'em".

2nd major round of drama came when we decided to have an intimate 30 guest ceremony followed by a larger 100 guest reception. The ceremony will be parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, & godparents only plus the wedding party - no kids, no friends, no cousins (other than the ones in the wedding party). Now a lot of my cousins' feelings are hurt b/c they're not invited to the ceremony. They're still invited to the reception like everyone else.

There's a lot of other little things in between that have made this process an absolute nightmare, and it really hurts because I don't think anyone realizes the amount of stress they're causing me for a day that supposed to be all about me & my FH. I'd never elope because I've already put some much time, effort, & money into planning this day, but this is NOTHING like what I imagined or wanted. Smiley cry

So far not too much, but my mom and my fsil will probably be the death of me one day.
My mom Is high energy and I’m not so we tend to butt heads a lot. The biggest thing so far is she originally told she wanted 4 people invited to the wedding and then later sent me a list of 17 people. She gave me a heart attack as we are paying for the wedding, but agreed to pay for her people and our cake so problem solved and minimum drama.
My fsil lives with us and her lifestyle does not mesh well with mine. It’s less wedding related and more day to day stress.

No wedding drama yet. It's coming through. Won't be until the actual day. My mom doesn't get along with my dad and step mom so it will be an eventful day.
