Would love your research assistance and experience!

I will be getting it, but know that it doesn't cover anything Covid.

I would check with your venue to see who they recommend, because some venues only wanting you using a certain company.

    We're looking at Wedsafe

I am getting it through statefarm. I am just getting the minimum liability my venue requires. I believe it was $50.

I got it thru Markel long before covid was a factor. It was via USAA..I’m not sure if they offer services to individuals outside of USAA customers but the policy was affordable and well rounded.

Yeah, I have noticed most do not cover COVID! But a lot of them will still cover cancellations (not that I plan on it). You just never know what could happen! My vendor doesn't require anything. I spoke to them earlier today and they mentioned we could go through our homeowners insurance. So I may check that out also.

I have USAA also! I was looking at them but wanted to compare other options. They no longer offer cancellation insurance. Did you have to move your wedding? Were they willing to work with you? I know COVID is no longer covered. I am just curious on your experiences!

Yeah, I’m not sure how that would have affected us since we had purchased the policy before covid was going to play into it. I know they were saying you couldn’t cancel “out of fear” due to covid but if you had to due to the couple or immediate family being sick or government/venue restrictions you would be covered. Which...technically we aren’t allowed to have events of 100 or more but luckily our venue (and all vendors) were very willing to move us to a new date and no deposits were lost.

We had the cancellation coverage and the liability coverage. We had to postpone and were able to change the date on our liability coverage but due to the nature of the cancellation policy we would have to purchase a new one for the new date. Still not sure if we are going to or not...but most likely will just to be safe.

Our venue requires us to go with WedSafe and they are very reasonably priced in my opinion.
