Who is in charge of the wedding budget? You or your fiancé(e)??

We did together. Figured what we needed first, the most important and then after all the “wanted” things.

He “put me in charge” he knows I dont like to spend but I want a wedding (I’ve only been to 1 in my family) and he said if I leave it to him hes gonna make us broke (hes a huge spender) because he just wants to merry me no matter what I want 🙄🙃☺️ He thinks its a great stratagy to get something in the middle, but up to this point we are actually under out buget 😜

We really don't have a budget, our parents are putting money in and so are we. We aren't looking for anything grand and luxurious, so a budget wasn't really needed.

I am in charge of the budget even though it really isn't a strict budget it wiggles

We both set the budget, although he is better at saving money. I make a little more so I will be doing more of the contributing. Our parents haven't said anything about helping yet so we are planning this as if we are paying for it ourselves.

Yeah, the thing with not havinga budget you have to stick to means it can be hard to stick to that number you would like to stick to. We both are either really bad or really great, depending on how you look at it, at telling the other we can always spend more, just make the decision that will make us the happiest.

I’m definitely more of a go getter and he is a thinker, but we balance each other well and we are doing a great job working together as a team to plan our special day.

Getting married at the courthouse so only things to budget is really the photographer and my dress. I’d say I’m definitely in charge of those two things as he wouldn’t care!
