Who is more strict about sticking to the budget? You or your fiancé(e)?

I am more about the budget.

Omg I can barely use Excel!! My boyfriend tried to make me a budget sheet and I didn't like to use it because it wasn't colorful enough

I think we're about equal. We've each given into the other on certain splurges that only one of us wanted - I got my photographer and an absolute buttload of champagne, she got her kombi vans and insane amount of pillar candles & vases. But for all the areas where we've gone a little buku, we've made cuts in other parts.

We've kept a meticulous balance sheet of all our money spent vs money remaining, our remaining payments due, and our anticipated expenses, and we're still right on track for where we should be. That's even factoring in two grand for a marquee in case it rains... God, I hope it doesn't rain.

I am. He is getting better at it though to be fair.

I'm taking care of the budget but I do run things by him because we are both sharing in the cost. Right now I'm doing all the planning alone with the event planner my fiancé and I decided to hire. I want mention what side but they have what I heard my mother use to say "a take over spirit" but not on my watch!
