Who is more strict about sticking to the budget? You or your fiancé(e)?

Definitely me!!! When we talk wedding plans, at first he said he would agree with everything I am ok with. First I looked at the budget and worked it out in general myself. Then we discussed it in detail and he said, well why not hire a professional for somethings(wedding planner, photographer and the musician to play the ceremony). I originally thought, I would plan, we hire a day-of coordinator. My aunt is a professional photographer and my sister is a genius on the cello. Members who are already at the wedding. He said no so they could enjoy it. So our budget keeps changing and he definitely keeps asking me what I would do if he got me a $2k ring. (He hasn't gotten an engagement ring yet). I love him but he can't stick to a budget lol.

That is a toss up. We both tend to let the other splurge a little.

We have taken turns being more strict with the budget. I've recently created spreadsheets for everything so now I think it's me...

I spend more than him only because I like adding details and love a nice pretty party. My fiancé is ok with the basics and a good time

I’m the spender!!! He is the breadwinner in the house and although I keep track of important bills, I’m ready to spend and play. He will say we need to save and we don’t need that. I can’t even go grocery shopping without getting carried away most of the time. I might need help guys!!

Me, he makes the money, and ever week I tell him which bills need paid and how much we have to spend on other things.

Both. I try not to go over. He does remind me of it from time to time though.

I would say we're both platonically wanting to make sure we both have what is necessary for this wedding. I mean who wants to go over budget?!?!?

I (Holly) am more strict about budget. He knows we have. Ills and makes sure they’re paid but he is an impulse buyer. I am not for the most part. I am learning to not be so crazy about money though. I’m just not used to having extra money to throw around but now we do.

We haven’t gotten that far yet, but fingers crossed we stick to it! I know how we are when we find something we “have to have”...

Ehh originally it was him but now I think it’s more of me, we both do good watching our budget but I think I tend to do more worrying about it.

We’re both really good at it but it’s been him all along. I’m barely catching on.

Both? Which really we don't have a set total budget, just a item by item budget like venue $2000 dress around $1500 food no more than $1500 etc.

Me, if I left it up to him it wouldn't get done. Neither of my parents are involved in the planning, as we are just renewing our vows, but it will be the first time in front of a pastor for both of us.

Me 100% he never had to before and now he does so ive had to show him

I manage the spreadsheet so that way FH doesn't see if I spend a little more, lol. He definitely is on top of staying on the budget. I am willing to spend a little more to get what I want. But I try my best to save money in places that we can! Lol.
