I'm trying to decide if I want to do everything myself. (i.e. shutterfly menus, napkins, get rent linens, make table numbers etc) or if I want a design company to do it. I have a million pins on pinterest so I know what I want it to look like. I just need someone to recreate it. For all you DIY...

There's nothing wrong with DIYing elements of your wedding. As long as you're handling the bulk of the work yourself, it's totally cool to create whatever you want. However, on the day of your wedding, I promise -- you will not have the desire of the time to run around setting everything up. The hours will fly by. Don't even consider asking guests to do the setting up for you. Instead, spend a few hundred and pay a DOC to do it for you (unless you have an all inclusive venue with an event manager who will handle it for you).

I'm having my reception at a mill and I'm definitely all about diy. I've already ordered all my decorations, table linens, and have pinned lots like you have. My only suggestion is make sure you do and make everything ahead so all you have to do is put everything where it needs to go. The benefit of this mill is I get it for a week so all depending see if you can go in early.

I'm making and/or purchasing all of our centerpiece decor, but I hired a DOC (who comes with a co-worker) to set up tables, chairs, centerpieces and all other decor. They're also going to tear everything down at the end which makes me feel SO relieved that none of the guests will get stuck with stacking chairs and tables. I just need to designate a family member to take all the decorations home with them!

My mom, bridesmaids, and I are going to set up the morning of. It's going to be pretty simple because we will assemble everything the day before and just put it where it goes day of.

We hired our florist to do all of our tablescapes - they're not floral, but they are decor so he's doing it for us. We showed him a picture, and I have all of the candles, vases, votives, table numbers, etc packed up and ready for him - and he's going to put them on the tables appropriately and put some flowers around them if he thinks they need it (some tables are larger).

The venue is setting up all of the escort cards, card box, menus, programs on each ceremony chair, and any signs.

My catering company is doing it. Normally if it's at s hotel , the events coordinators will have their employees doing it. Do somethings but not all the setting up . Your day will not be as enjoyable

You can always have pictures of how you want the tables arranged or centerpieces . To give people a clear idea of your wishes

I have 6 sisters, we've had 3 weddings, mine is next. We've done EVERYTHING together. Key is knowing what you want, far in advance and start your crafting. This way everyone has time to get done what you need and not be rushed

I will have the florist and her team set everything up. Theres no way I personally would have time to set it up myself although I would love to do it on my own. The timing would be so off. If you have someone thats not part of the bridal court then they can possibly help set up. Good luck

My parents hired a day-of wedding planner just for the reason. She sets everything up how I want, and comes back later to take it down and store it until the next day. Super stress free
