My dad is. If it wasn't him I would probably ask my little brother.

My dad has been battling cancer for 7 years now, He will be walking me down the aisle.

My uncle will be walking me down the aisle as my father passed away in 1997. My other choice would of been my father's best friend as he means a lot to our family.

Bah it's getting more and more difficult as the wedding gets closer knowing my father won't be by my side.

So sorry to hear about your father. My Dad passed away last year after a 20 year battle with leukemia.

I have chosen to walk by myself. The only other person I even considered was my Mom, but I want her to walk in at the time the Moms are supposed to so she can light my unity candle. It's a very personal decision though, I'm glad your brother is there for you

I am walking down by myself halfway, and then FH is gong to walk towards me and escort me the rest of the way. My dad is not in my life, so I think it's so romantic for FH to meet me halfway.

My Dad died 5 months before the wedding, but it would have been my son even had he been alive. You are blessed to have had a father worth missing. Mine wasn't. The best thing he ever did for me was die before the wedding so I didn't have to invite him.

I love all the different things people are doing. it's definitely more important to have someone significant to you do it than to stick with tradition. both my parents walked me down the aisle.

I'm so sorry to hear about all of the other brides here who won't have their dad there! When my dad first passed away I didn't even want to think about getting married, and I had been throwing hints at my FH for a while about it. It's still hard to think about, but I'm just glad my dad knew my FH before he passed away. And he liked him, that's a plus too =)

My Dad walked me down at my first wedding. I feel like I want to go by myself this time. My frame of mind is different as a 38 year old divorced woman who is paying for her wedding with her FH. I'm 97% decided to walk myself.

I'm so sorry about your dad. I'm a daddy's girl too and I don't know what I would ever do if he couldn't walk me down the aisle. He and my mom are walking me, though. We haven't told my mom yet that she's walking me down too, but my dad and I have decided we wanted her to be apart of it as well.

My older brother is walking me down the aisle. I'm not close to my dad so I wouldn't feel comfortable with it.
