Did you do an engagement shoot?

No we didn't. My fiancee works so much we knew it would be hard to schedule anything. We just figure we'll have tons of pictures from the wedding

We went with Cassandra Janina Photography (she's based out of the Dayton, OH area), and that was one of our best decisions! We've already seen 30ish preview pics plus a full blog post on her site, and I'm ecstatic with how they turned out.

I'm happy for you! i've seen bad pictures from weddings and I was hesitant. My friend's photos are amazing. She is doing this as her gift to us with I really appreciate. We have a very small budget and this allowed us to use that money on other things. We do plan to try and give her something though.

One of my cousins. At first I told her that I can hire someone that way she can enjoy herself at the wedding. But she said that she enjoys taking pictures and that she wants to do this as our wedding gift. I thought about it for awhile and decided to go ahead and let her take the pictures.

My daughter and uncle are going to take our engagement pictures.

We hired my neighbor's daughter - she is a professional so it was not a "friendor" situation. I knew her work and because she was starting out she charged us $500 for about four hours. My pics were amazing!!

Thank you! We almost never get pictures together, so I really wanted to prioritize the day.

I had a mug made for our photographer with her logo & a decorative camera image and plan to add a few small things as a thank you gift.. not super expensive, but it's a bit more personal, at least!

We decided to go with Eivan's Photo & Video. We got a photo/video package that comes with a lot including the rights to our photos and a $300 print coupon for any extra prints or enlargements we want after the wedding. We do plan on doing an engagement shoot but we will be going with a local photographer for that.

That was what I wanted my friend to be able to do, but she's at her happiest taking pictures, and especially when it's for people she cares about

We don't have pics of us either. I think we have one from my high school reunion and that's about it. I wish we had some from when we first dated back in 1985, that would have been a cool thing to have for our reception

Sounds like my cousin. She won't be editing the pictures. Because she loves how my uncle and I both edit pictures. I told her that just before the wedding that I will give her a brand new sd card.
