    My mom and best friend were watching on our nanny (dog) cam, so they saw the whole thing, then I called one of my other close friends.

    Mom and Dad were first on the call list, although FH had taken them to dinner to "ask" (fathers requirement) while I was in Costa Rica for a friends wedding the weekend before.

    My parents and sister knew we looked rings. But the day it happened it was my MoHs and then my mom and sister. My dad was out of the country with limited service.

    We were on vacation with friends when H proposed so they were the first to find out (we didn't say anything, they saw the ring). After that I tried several times to get my mom on the phone and she didn't answer so I eventually called my sister to tell her the news.
