Who was the first person you shared the engagement news with?

I called Mama saying I had some news. First words from her mouth were "are you pregnant?" 🙄

My mom, after he proposed and i stopped crying and calmed down we facetimed my mom. She was actually driving and pulled over because I told her I had really big news to tell her and her first question was if I was pregnant haha I replied with no but I am engaged and showed her the ring and this woman starts crying which made me start crying all over again! She was and still is beyond happy for us and loves my FH to pieces and does her best to make him feel welcome in the family, even offering him a place to stay while his parents and him would fight and they would threaten to kick him out.

My sisters! I called them the same night. On top of that he posted it on Facebook so as soon as I called them on the phone we all started SCREAMING like crazy people! lol

Work family. I didn't even think about it until after the fact. I just knew they would react "bigger" than my family. I was right on that. I didn't even get responses back from siblings for over a day. I have 5 siblings!

We were in Hawaii when FH proposed. I initially sent a group text to my circle of 3 best friends. Later I called my parents, only to find out that they already knew because FH called 2 weeks prior to let them know his plans to propose. After that I waited 2 weeks and told my other group of friends.

My best friend. It was late at night and I didnt want to wake up my mom or tell her over text. But I had to tell someone so she got the honor of knowing first.

My parents after asking who all knew. 🤣 Then I proceeded to call or text those who knew and were impatiently waiting for the news. I had been sick for several days of our vacation so he had to delay his proposal till the day before we left.

Hands down, it was my mom! I’m a mommy’s girl, so I had to tell her first.

My dad. He's the only one who knew it was coming because FH asked for his permission. My dad was so happy I said yes. Him and FH are like best friends. Haha

My fiancee's sons. He called them. I think first for me was my siister-in-law. Mistake...she wasn't that happy for me...thought it was too soon..should have make the first person my niece/MOH who was THRILLED.

We didn't tell a single soul for six weeks! We wanted to enjoy it in peace for a while. Then we told my mom. One week later my sister. A few days later his entire family. A week later friends and social media.

"Farmer Youngblood" he's the farm owner where my horses live. He's like my second Daddy...it was late...he was the only person that I knew that would take a late call without worrying it was an emergency.

It was broadcast on Facebook Live so everyone knew lol. I facetimed my mom that evening though
