Who was the first person you told about your engagement?

I called my mom right away. Apparently she was in on the whole thing and said "were you surprised?"

I called my mom first. So her and my dad were the first to know. After all the VIPs were told, then we changed facebook status.

My parents, and then the 2 friends my husband told that he was going to propose. Then my family came over for my brother's birthday the next day so I told them, and a few other best friends

Group messaged my closest friends with pics, waited until the next day to tell parents in person.

My mother of course I called her after our date and told her the news and she was thrilled later posted it on Facebook and everyone knew!

It was a surprise engagement party so there were lots of ppl there...I had to call the few that couldn't make it (hysterically crying ofcourse)

We were on vacation in Costa Rica and my mom was in school back at home, so I sent her a text with a bunch of pictures. Then I sent it in a family group chat that had my dad, brother and sister.

FH had planned on doing it on a Sunday but ended up doing it that Saturday instead so no one was expecting my call...called my mom and sister first but neither of them picked up!! Lol. So my aunt (who will be walking me down the aisle with my mom) was the first to actually hear me say it.

He told his grandparents and parents before he asked my parents for permission. Then he told our mutual friend (who videoed the proposal) all before I knew lol then after I called my mom first

One of my good friends/client because we were talking about it the day prior. This was before the proposal. Official proposal was FHs mom then my mom. In that order because it was my birthday and FHs mom called.

I sent a group text to my dad, mom, both brothers and their spouses, and my nephews who have a phone. We waited to tell friends until the next morning.

We told my friend who was coming over for Christmas the next day that we were down a bottle of champagne, and that she may need to pick up another one hahahaha. It are in a different timezone than my family so we told everyone the next day since he proposed at 11:30 pm on Christmas eve.

Nobody told me, my FH surprised me. Everyone else knew about it except for me so I was totally shocked.
