According to Loverly, a bride can walk down the aisle with anyone from herself to her husband. Who will walk you down the aisle and why?

My son will be walking me down the aisle because my father is deceased.

My mom and my son will be walking me down. I don’t have a strong relationship with my dad, he won’t be invited, and I was raised by my mom. The officiant will be asking, “who supports this woman in her commitment” (something like that) so that my son can give his “blessing.” My FH will be his step dad, so it is important tor me that my son be involved Smiley smile

I've had a hard time of it. I don't have a father and my grandfather and eldest brother (both wonderful people and were more father figures than anyone) also have passed away. So I'm torn between asking a good friend of mine that's been like a mentor to me, or just walking myself. I do intend to put tiny charms with my grandfather and brother's pictures in them on my bouquet so it'll still be like they're walking with me anyways, whichever way I choose.

I don't know much about the actual script of the ceremony (I should really research that) but I'm definitely not doing the 'giving the bride away' thing. I am not a possession to be given to someone, I am a person making a choice.
