Whole 30 wedding

Stephanie, on October 6, 2017 at 5:38 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 5

Has anyone done the whole 30 when trying to loose weight for the wedding? I did one before we got engaged and I just found my dress yesterday. The size fits perfectly ( maybe loose 5 pounds) but I would like to do a few more whole 30s due to my bad eating habits I just don't want to loose to much to do more alterations then necessary

So excited that you found a dress that fits but the whole 30 program is *usually* just a quick fix and you will gain all the weight back after you’re done. I have two friends who tried this and it was definitely not a long term plan, at least for them. If you’re really interested in losing weight and then maintaining your new weight, you need to look at living healthily versus dieting. Regular exercise plus a minimum of 8-10 glasses of water per day plus a healthy balance of proteins, carbs, and (healthy) fats.

The whole 30 will not only help you lose weight, but you should seen an improvement in mood, sleeping, and skin. All of those are so important leading up to the wedding because it can become stressful.

I have eaten off and on whole 30 for the last two years and have managed to stay my current weight without any problems.

I would do a whole 30 and then properly reintroduce the foods back into your diet. Figure out what makes you bloat/tired/etc. And just leave those foods out of your diet long term.

I was having an issue of coming off whole 30 foods was sending my hormones out of wack and causing me to bleed through my birthcontrol pack. I have since gotten that fixed but its something to think about.

I have read the Whole 30 book and plan to start soon, but it does say you should try to avoid being on the diet during your wedding. They'd rather u be able to enjoy your day and all that goes with it than not enjoying the special things like your wedding cake

My sister did this for a wedding she was in and I have never seen her more cranky and agitated than while she was on this! She did lose 5 pounds but she could have done that by going to the gym a couple days a week and changing her eating habits. I would go get a consultation with a personal trainer and start implementing healthy lifestyle choices, you will be much better off in the long run.
