I was looking at wholesale florists to order from--I saw that globalrose.com seems to have the least amount of bad reviews--some people have said wholeblossoms is good--anyone use any specific vendor and have a good or bad experience? I would be ordering sunflowers(60-70 stems) and then some filler yellow flowers and maybe a blue snapdragon or something to bring my blue in--I am looking for mid Sept...want to keep it under about 220 or so..thanks!

Have you tried to see if a local florist or floral designer sells DIY bulk bunches? That's something that I do for clients in my area.

That way, you know the flowers will be in great condition when you get them, and you get some tips!

OK so I called fifty flowers...seemed nice and helpful to chat...they do want to deliver the weds before so could be tricky...heading to venue on Thurs so would need to travel with open flowers or go up earlier..figure out later....global rose toll free number doesn't even work...called three times and it hangs up...and double checked number on website....whole blossoms has automated phone with mo option for customer service unless you are a vendor or calling about an order already placed... When you hit zero it goes to main menu....so looks like fifty flowers wins by default as of now!

Part of the problem, is with the timeframe; if they're great, they're great. If they're not, then you have to scramble. September can still be warm.

I did my own flowers for my wedding, and I can tell you I wouldn't do it again unless I did VERY simple things.

@Mrs. Hawkins- What size cube vases did you use?

Did anyone end up ordering jumbo hydrangeas? I have 5" cubes and Bj's says the diameter for the jumbos are 13"!
