Whom should I invite? Celebrity suggestions, please

I got the idea of inviting famous people to our wedding, mostly to have a souvenir from their response card, from one of the invitation artists we talked with. We have to pay for 100 invites anyway and only need to send out about 75... It's only going to cost us about a dollar in postage to send...

We have to pay for 100 invites anyway and only need to send out about 75... It's only going to cost us about a dollar in postage to send them out and will make getting the RSVP's back that much more fun!

We have the Obamas on our list and Rahm Emmanuel, the new mayor of Chicago, where we live.

Does anyone have experience with doing this and know who might be most likely to respond? Any suggestions of someone fun and interesting to try?

    Http://www.fanmail.biz/ is the celebrity address "database." I should think that most things get processed through their agent or publicist. You can search by name or by category.

    I was given Mickey and Minnie's by the invitation artist who originally suggested this (as well as the Pope, but we aren't Catholic, and the Queen, but it's only for British citizens), if anyone has interest. We're not Disney people.

    My FH and I have talked about this as a joke but now you're making me actually want to do it! I joke that I would invite the following:

    1. Kate Gosselin and all 8 children (bahahaha)

    2. Chelsea Handler

    3. Bethenny Frankel

    4. George 'Dubya' Bush

    I would so sent one to Morgan Freeman & Anthony Hopkins, but then they're my fav actors. And P!nk. I would flip if I got any type of response from her. My FI would probably want to send one to Bruce Campbell (I'm sure I spelled that wrong).

    I think if you send ones to those celebrities that do a lot of charity (like Bono & Oprah) then you'd probably be more likely to get a response. But you'd probably get it closer to your 'RSVP by' date b/c they have a lot of mail to go through!

    I'm definately sending one to the President now just to get something back.....and wave it in the faces of the family members who didn't vote for him! Hahaha. ....put it in a frame on the wall next to the wedding photo....

    We did this and I got my first response yesterday. We invited Mickey & Minnie at both disneys, the Obamas, Oprah & Stan, Brian Westbrook and Donovan McNabb. Here's what we got from Mickey & Minnie in CA.

    Mickey & Minnie also sent a Cinderella & The Prince "Just Married" pin.

    Do you have the one for Orlando? I would want one for Disney World since I live in Orlando. Not too big of a Mickey fan, but it is kind of cute.
