We don't plan on having anyone come up to do any readings.

We didn't have any readers, but we had our officiant read a poem we really liked.

We aren't having any readings. Our wedding is more casual and so we didn't feel the need to add more things to the to-do list.

Our twin 12yo niece and nephew! They are a little old to be "flower girl/ring bearer" so we asked and they are both so excited!

We have asked my cousin to do a reading, I figure it will add some content to our otherwise quick ceremony. I didn't give him any guidelines so I figure I will ask him around Christmas if he has any idea what he will do.

We had my husband's cousin sing Amazing Grace while his Uncle played the guitar. She has such a beautiful voice so I definitely wanted her to sing! Two friends of ours, who are married and were both in the wedding, did a reading too.

    Hey Kara!

The vows are said between the couple getting married at the time, whereas a ceremony reading is a special passage, poem or text that is read by someone special to the couple during the ceremony. You can also have multiple readings from different people also.

At my first wedding years ago, we asked my sister in law to read a favorite bible reading. My current guy & I aren’t doing a church ceremony. You can have someone say a prayer or blessing at reception. If your not doing something religious a poem read will work.

We are probably not doing ceremony readings outside of the traditional stuff, so only the officiant.
