Who's Not Nervous??

Amber, on December 9, 2011 at 1:54 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 17

My wedding is almost 2 months away, and a lot of people are asking if Im nervous yet. Actually I'm not. This is what I've wanted more than anything and I've spent a lot of time preparing for it. Why would I be nervous? Because it won't be the most beautiful wedding ever? I don't care. In the end FH and I are married right? and thats what we wanted.... So why should I be nervous.

Thats kind of hard to explain to people right when they ask. I usually just say no. Lol.

I'm getting married tomorrow and I'm still not nervous but I'm sure it will hit me when I'm ready to walk down the aisle! I usually say "Nope I'm excited" when people ask if I'm nervous.

I still have 8 months but I'm not nervous. I'm so excited to finally marry the man who is perfect for me after 11 years of wanting to be with him.

I wasn't nervous for one second. I was really happy and excited as we got closer to the date, but never nervous. It was even worse when they asked DH the same question. he absolutely never gets nervous for any reason :-)

I don't think I will ever get nervous. To me nervous seems like a negative that something "bad" is going to happen. I am very very excited though. IMO nervousness and being excited can be confused

I have less than 5 days and I'm just over the moon excited, but I am sure I will be nervous once I am there. Were having an all German ceremony so I just hope that I can understand everything and I just don't look confused in our pictures.

I'm pretty much zen about the whole thing. I have never stressed out about anything. In fact, a group of my Buddhist friends and I plan on meditating before the ceremony.

I'm not nervous about getting married. My FH is a wonderful man and I can't wait to marry him. We actually talked about this a couple weeks ago and we were both more nervous about buying/building a house. Deciding where we are going to live, picking out colours, putting the money down, committing ourselves and our money to that.

I will admit..when I woke up December 1st and realized we only had 30 days left, I got nervous! Not about getting married, but because we still had things to pay for.

I've calmed down as some things have gotten taken care of....but still not nervous about getting married....I'M EXCITED!!!!

I am getting married tomorrow and I am not nervous, but FH is. I am going nuts though because FH is so nervous that it is driving me crazy. He has been trying to pick a fight all day and I am just blowing him off. I really do not need to stress over the wedding and do not plan to get sucked into his stress.

I have to admit that I was a bit nervous. We live in a state which at the time did not recognize same-sex marriage--which ironically meant that we could never get a divorce. And having been through one marriage in which I ended up divorced, even after taking every possible precaution to avoid it, it was a little scary to realize that I could end up married for life even if she left me.

At the same time, I was more excited than nervous. My relationship with NotFroofy had already lasted nearly half as long as my prior marriage, even before we were able to get legally married. And my doubts were not related to anything I saw in her, just to my previous experience.

I was nervous a few days before our wedding but not because of getting married, just nervous about everything going off without a hitch. I had heard horror stories of vendors not showing up or not doing what they said there were going to do so that's were my nerves came in - just wanting things to go according to plan.

As of now, I am far from nervous. In fact, I am patiently "waiting for the day". So long as my fh is there to say I do, the details are unimportant to me. Exactly six months to the day Smiley smile.

I am not nervous but I probably will be the day off. Not because I'm nervous about marrying FH, but because whenever I plan an event I get really nervous that everything will go smoothly.
