I knew his mom from her working at the local bank in my home town. He met my mom later on.

He met my family first, though technically I already knew his brother and sister because they attend same church as I do.

Mine given that I still lived with them at the time and he moved in shortly a couple of months after we started dating, his parents have lived out of state the entire time. I've known him so I didn't get to meet them face to face until over a year into our relationship
