Definitely my fiancé’s family. Both of our familes are involved but only us are paying for the wedding though. FH’s family just has a lotttt of opinions on how things should be.

My parents definitely. We are very traditional, so mother of the bride is helping a ton! His mom got angry that I wasn't "consulting her on all the details" but ultimately it's not her wedding, so I didn't feel like I needed to ask her permission for everything 🤷‍♀️

That's awesome! Sounds like it's going to be an amazing wedding, are you having two separate ceremonies for each culture?

Aww that's great! Did you have other siblings that had been married before you or were they just more familiar in general?

That's great that both are involved! Are their opinions helpful or do you feel like sometimes they are a little overbearing?

Definitely mine, but they refuse to be part of the planning process. Once we get closer to the wedding it may change though since FHs mom I think still hasn't fully come to terms with the fact that we're getting married haha.

Yes she Kelly! My fiancé’s mother is not only helping us out financially and gathering information/suggesting ideas but she’s there for me on an emotional level. I get little phone calls from her with questions being asked like how’s your stress levels, is work too much right now, how are your migraines etc etc. She even went wedding dress shopping with me and we picked one out and have it ordered already. She actually listened to what I said about the style I wanted and she went in the store before we went and had them pull out a few dresses and set them out on display for me to see right away! That may seem small but it was a big deal for me. We are truly blessed to have her. I seriously can’t wait for the special memories and moments the three of us will share in the future

My mom and stepfather are VERY involved in planning. His family hasn’t really made much effort to ask about the wedding. My father and stepmother moved to Texas in March and have asked me a few questions but not many.

Neither of our parents have been SUPER involved in planning but her parents have been a little more up to the occasion than mine. It makes sense though since they're generally more helpful than mine.
