Shaton, on February 21, 2012 at 3:58 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 24

A few big expenses are rearing there heads and its like OMG, how are we gonna chop it down in 4 months. Dont get me wrong I know we are gonna do it without a doubt but just trying to figure out the how, is nerve racking. I guess because FH has the two biggest expenses..... whew, you see I know what I do and can do, but its hard watching if he can!!!! Lord help me. LOL I know that its all good.

Right now I am dealing with smaller expenses...ie ring bearer pillow, rings, gifts and etc. However, these small items are adding up quickly. It is driving me nuts.

I feel the pain. I have been talking about paying off some vendors with the money that we have saved off and FH is like why just wait. I dont understand waiting I hate bills hanging over my head. I want them paid so then I have the actual amount known that is needed. I know the biggest expense is going to be our reception hall and we cant nail down that price until we have all the rsvps back. I want that to be the only expense that close to the wedding. I even bought gift certificates for my hair and nails so that I have them technologically paid for and dont have to worry about them.

I am worried a lot too. I paid off my alterations already. We still need the cake paid off, my shoe, candy and candy scoops for the candy buffet. I want it done!

Thats kind of how we're feeling too, we have about 1/2 of the money now for our wedding and can pay off a HUGE chunk of Vendors but it's kinda nice to see those funds in the account lol. I like the feeling, however on the other side I also hate bills hanging over my head so i want to pay them off. I agree with an above poster it's not the major vendors that i'm worried about it's the little details with bigger price tags than i expected.

I second @Briony. I keep having small purchases, and they're adding up. Like yesterday, bought more ribbon and flowers for the junior bridesmaids. Now I have ot figure out how the rings are going to make their way down the aisle. Another expense? We'll see.

I'm thinking about expenses, but I'm not thinking about expenses.... if that makes sense. I know my budget well enough to know I've been cutting corners in some areas, so I have a little bit of wiggle room in others.

My wedding is in June 2013 and to not spend so much at the end I have started to purchase some wedding items. I know what I want to get my bridesmaids and have started burchasing their gifts at little at a time.

I'm definitely worried. Especially since I've been having issues at work so I haven't been able to go in to work overtime. Fortunately, my mother has agreed to cover everything that we can't cover on our own, but the panic is still setting in. It's the big things that have me concerned (my ring, our venue) right now... just keeping the faith!

Oh yeah, I'm worried. I really won't know how much we are spending for sure until it's all over. Depends on head count. I have a "worst case scenario"--if everyone shows up, which I know they won't, but THAT number is horrifying!!! LOL. Other than the actual reception for food/drinks, etc, everything has been paid for already except the cake, $150, and the church fees. $135.

Finally added tips/ gratuity to my wedding wire budget as well as my projected honeymoon costs so I could generate an accurate cash flow spreadsheet. Really eases the stress if you can see the exact amount due and when it's due. Finances play a huge roll in marriages, if you are stressing make sure hubby to be knows and get some reassurance he's handling his responsibilities , don't carry the burden by yourself Smiley smile.

I am with Julie - they won't all show, but if they do - HOLY CRAP!

I have paid 90% of the big stuff, but man what a stress factor when you think of how much still has to be paid. I get scared every time I hit the budget tab!

I am feeling your pain. Our dryer broke last week, and my car needs tires. I am still waiting on my tax refund (should be here fri) I keep crunching numbers. yesterday I was thinking with the money we are spending on this wedding we could pay off both cars. I am down to the wire and stressing on cash. I feel it will all work out!

I am starting to stress as my number of days decreases. I sent out my invitations so I'm waiting for rsvps so I know the exact amount for my venue.

I'm not worried at all. We have our venue paid off, paid the day we booked it. We have my dress paid off, we have everything big paid for except the caterer and that has been handed over to FH so he is in charge of dealing with that, I handled everything else lol.

I'm worried also but I don't show FH. I'm just praying things start looking up. We haven't booked anything yet due to finances so we keep checking to make sure we have our date still available for when we can pay next month

Th remaining items are venue $1600, my ring $$$$, which he's paying for both. He has to get suit/tux, I have to pay balance of $285 for photography, Dj $150, balance of flowers $60, my bridal shower expenses, the hoyel room the night before and l'll just throw in extra $400 to be safe.
