I'm in the boat with you. When I met FH I was almost at ideal weight... I have since gone back to being ALMOST the size I was in HS. I look better than I did back then but that doesn't matter.

My biggest issue? I cook and bake, and FH can eat anything and not gain wait. Grrr!!

I'm going to try to start doing crunches before he gets home Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. I figure 4 times a week when it's just me and the dogs and cats wouldn't be so bad, and it's something I can do while watching TV. I totally ge the whole being tired after work thing, but I think that if I start being a little active when I get home, I'll 1) have more energy in the long run and 2) will see the difference it's making and keep going and 3) FEEL the difference and keep going.

I've had the same issues with motivation. This is what helped me..

with eating better? I took step by step. I'm the kind of woman that would live off of fast food. So I cut out two things of my diet. Fast Food chains & soda. All else was fair game. It helped me stick to it.

with the gym? I did it right after work. As if it was an errand that must be done. Dont give yourself a chance to talk yourself out of it!

    Good Luck!!

I'm so in the same boat. I usually work out for a good 2 months before I get sick of it so I figure ill start in may or early June and by the wedding I should be close to toning up..hopefully :/

I highly recommend Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred workout video. It's only 25 minutes including warmup, but kicks your butt. I usually burn about 250 calories during the workout, and I'm on the petite side. For weight loss, crunches alone won't do much.

And don't be too hard on yourself! It's really, really hard to get started. I lost a bunch of weight about a year ago and would like to lose a few more lbs/build muscle before the wedding, but I also have no motivation yet.

Housework and chores burns calories too..even stretching...start with a few minutes and add on each week.

My motivation sky rocketed when I realized I had almost exactly the number of days until my wedding as it takes to complete Insanity. I haven't missed a workout! And my meals have been on point!!

    I've always been a procrastinator...

Start by making some little changes, like parking further away, taking the stairs, etc. Amanda is right. Crutches won't do anything if you're increasing your metabolism. The best way to lose is to increase cardio and decrease calories. I've lost almost 15 lbs since Thanksgiving, with the majority of it being in the last month or so. I signed up with a personal trainer that has really helped me be motivated. It wasn't cheap, but soooo worth it! Also, I've been using myfitnesspal.com which helps track your food and tells you how many calories you should be eating a day and how many calories you're burning.

It all starts in the kitchen Jenn! and I love food so this is a tough issue for me... I go every morning(5am) before work! Getting up early helps me get through the day that and then looking at pinterest on the health and fitness page doesnt make me feel as guilty! Smiley smile

ps they say its 70% kitchen(diet/clean eating) and 30% gym!(or just working out in general)

I am having the same problem.. FH sister is going pro for soccer this year.. so she has crazy work outs and drags FH along with her... Great motivation for FH.. I live in a different state so I really don't have much motivation.. BUT as of tonight I will be going to the gym... 3 miles on the treadmill to start.. and some planks... I hope you can find your motivation soon!! I know the feeling.. I am just pushing myself tonight.. Enough is enough with me already!

I am getting married in April and I have been trying to cut out soft drinks, junk food.....but I have two children, work full time, have a house to take care of and like Miss Miranda, my FH doesn't gain weight no matter what and I cook and bake (and am very good at it). So I have to do something and fast! I am so scared to try to on my dress again (This Sunday) to have it altered, with the holidays and my crazy lack of sleep schedule (I am up @ 5:30 AM everyday).....I know I have gained weight. I just hope they can get my big "grandma bladder" in my dress Smiley sad

Jenn, I'm thinking of actually purchasing the Bridalicious Bootcamp DVDs...it seems like it works, especially toning while losing weight...check it out. They don't have live sessions here in Miami, but maybe they have it where you're at.

My biggest motivation has been my friends! I'm lucky enough to have some great ladies in my smallgroup from church that had decided to get fit recently themselves. I kept finding excuses for myself until I saw how happy they all were when they started seeing results. Some of the girls do aerobic classes together and Friday we're all starting Zumba Smiley smile I highly suggest trying to find at least one friend to have as a buddy in your journey!!

@Candy, Zumba is awesome! I have taken a few classes at my gym and I love it...but unfortunately, the classes here get so packet that I can't enjoy it. Good luck, it sounds like you'll have fun getting fit!

@Jenn, guess what? I didn't make it to the gym today LOL Here's hoping tomorrow I beat my subconscious hehe On a serious note, I'm not feeling well...
