Why can't users access our website from ie and Firefox

Nicholas, on April 17, 2019 at 2:47 PM Posted in Account Support 0 5
Does anyone know why users are unable to access our website via internet explorer and firefox web browsers? They get to the log in, enter their email and our password and then are prompted to enter their email and password. Users are not having issues from Chrom le or mobile. This is frustrating since IE is so popular.

I've actually found that it doesn't matter what browser people are using… if they attempt to access the link on a desktop or laptop computer, it doesn't work. Appears to work just fine for any browser on mobile and tablet devices. This needs fixed ASAP. This has been an issue for weeks

Hi Nicholas! It sounds like your guests are having trouble with the 'Welcome Form' that you have enabled on your wedding website. Typically, we will see some users have trouble when using Internet Explorer since that browser hasn't been updated in quite a few years. I recommend that you have your guests make sure that their browser is up to date, and they may want to consider clearing their cache. Additionally, you are able to remove that welcome form through the 'Settings' in your wedding website editor if you want to bypass that issue completely!

We want the welcome form so we can collect email addresses. We will have to send additional information closer to our wedding day. Is there another way to request email info? We also preferred to keep our site private, which is what I belief prompts the welcome.

Our guests are having the exact same issue, and it truly is annoying. We also want to keep our site private, so are not going to remove the welcome page. We'd dealt with this by telling people (when we send them the password) to use Chrome if they have problems with other browsers, but it still seems ridiculous to have this problem with IE and Firefox.

Unfortunately, there is no other way to request email addresses within your wedding website. If you want to keep your website private but remove the welcome page, you can password protect it instead!
