What is the reasoning for your actual wedding date?

We chose May 2, 2020. We have multiple factors involved. The 2nd came from our original anniversary of December 2nd. We are getting married outside in Wisconsin so we couldn't keep it in December. The month was all driven by work. We have very big decisions to make in July so we have to have all paperwork filed before then. 2020 was between deployments for one or both of us.

Tell your story!

We chose 3-28-2020. My birthday is 3-28-95 and my fiancée birthday is 3-28-86. We both wanted a spring wedding and when we saw our birthday was on a Saturday and the venue had the date open we went for it!

Originally we wanted June 20 of 2020 however my fiance's fraternity brother who got engaged before us reserved a venue with that same date. I'm very into the universe and astrology so I took it as a sign that June 20th wasn't the right date. We got engaged on August 5th so I decided to go with August 1st of 2020. It became hard to find a venue especially since I really wanted a barn. One night I was searching for barns in Wisconsin since it's not too far from Chicago and I found exactly what I was looking for. I emailed the venue and they told me they only had very few dates left in 2020, to my surprise they had August 1st available. It was meant to be so that's how wet came with the final date!

We're getting married March 8th, 2020 because it was my fiance's dream to be married at the steampunk convention we go to every year. Which is why I love him so much! He dreams big and has an even bigger heart so of course I'm super excited to make this dream wedding a reality! So we're set for the final day of the convention with all our steampunk friends in attendance, it's going to be amazing!

We choose March 14, 2020 in Rio Grande, PR. You choose this time because my fiancé is a slope working and we had to coordinate schedules with my family. Also my family is originally from PR we decided to have all my family together. My grandmother still lives in PR and now can see all her children and her children’s, children all together in one place.

Our wedding date is April 17 2021. I knew I wanted to get married in april because my paternal grandparents and great grandparents were married on 4/20 (different years). 4/20 was my first choice but we want a Saturday wedding. So the next option was 4/17/21 which is also my fiance's grandmother who recently passed away birthday.

We chose May 30, 2020 because our legal marriage date is May 31st. This will be our first wedding/vow renewal. Yes, we're doing it big.

My date is 04/20/20 in Las Vegas. Everyone automatically thinks it's for marijuana purposes lol but it's not. I chose that date because it's my grandparents anniversary and when I told my FH, I found out that's also his parent's anniversary. Our plan is to surprise everyone and have them stand up and repeat the vows with us during the ceremony. I even got cute little silicone rings from Amazon.

We knew we wanted it to be the same month as our fifth anniversary together, if not the same exact day. Sorting around my brother's military service obligations brought us to the first Saturday in May of 2020. So excited!

We’re having a DW in Vegas… Summer is too hot… Winter is too cold… So we decided on Fall. We looked on the calendar and saw 10/10/20 was a Saturday and thought it was a fun date. So rolled with it!

We are getting married in Wisconsin, with family and friends coming from England and Florida, we didn’t want it to be too cold for our wedding day, and we knew we wanted to be married on a Saturday. With people traveling from various places we also wanted to give them time to save for flights etc. I did get input from family in England to see if the dates range would for them. We finally pinned it down to May 8, 2021. Hoping it won’t be too cold in Wisconsin then.

So my fiancé and I both love spring and fall. I originally wanted our day to be May 23, 2020 b/c we met September 23, 2014, but his job is very demanding in that month. I also wanted to get married this year on September 28th because we began dating on January 28, 2015, but again his job is very demanding in the month of September and we decided to plan for a year to make sure we get the day we both want. So we decided on October 24, 2020.

We originally was leaning towards a Saturday wedding in May, but after seeing the price for. Weekday it made us go with lower cost. Date has no significant meaning just a random date.

We knew where we wanted it and liked the idea of an outdoor fall wedding, so we whipped out the ol' Farmer's Almanac and eliminated months one by one until we decided on the first week in November. Further elimination broought us to 11/7/20!

We - more me - wanted before summer or after Labor Day. My fiancé works full time and goes to school part time. So date was chosen when he’s done for summer and before he goes into grad school in fall. It was a a week later until we found out my nephews college grad was that day. The weekend after would be Memorial Day so the week before it became.

We knew we wanted to get married in the fall especially since it's cheaper to book a venue. It was originally 10/11/19 but then my MOH wouldn't have been able to make it so we pushed it up to 10/7/19. No real significance
