I am having the HARDEST time picking a DJ. I narrowed it down to two, and then one, but then FH wanted to see some more so I’ve been calling around again. Now I like one who seems super professional and is cheaper than the original one I chose, but I still like the original! They both seem very similar - just a $200 price difference and the original was recommended by my venue. And then another one I really liked, but then he asked who else I was looking at and I told him and he immediately started trashing them... so now I’m second guessing my original choice but at the same time this just seemed like dirty sales to me and really rubbed me the wrong way.
My venue is a very odd shape. It’s like a U, so the dining room and dance floor are on two different sides connected by this beautiful hallway/library. Because of that i want someone who knows the venue well, but is affordable. The new DJ I like says he’s worked at the venue a lot but he isn’t on the recommended vendor sheet that they gave me. How important is that?? The DJ that rubbed me the wrong way said he was on the recommended list but he actually isn’t lol?
How did everyone narrow it down and finally pick??
