Wigs!

Robyn, on December 9, 2019 at 11:18 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 3

I'm highly thinking about wearing a wig for my elopement. Nothing too drastic from the medium bob I have now but something that gives it more volume.

I've never worn a wig and I want to get comfortable with them before spending big money for the one I'll be wearing on our special day.
How do I get started? What are some good stores/brands of wigs?

I do not do wigs but for sure one with human hair. Are you getting a full frontal? Who is your hair dresser? That would be the person to ask the best one.

So i bought 2 wigs online, the pictures looked great so natural and lace fronts and they were s greatt price (buy 1 get 1 free). I had thought maybe I want to wear my hair down for the wedding and since my hair is thin when I straighten it, a nice wig would be perfect. Girlllllll when them wigs came in they looked a hot mess and they came from China. The part on the scalp is so thick and unnatural looking, it didnt have a lace front, and did Not look like the pictures.

These were the first wigs I’ve ever bought so once I fix the wig I might still consider getting one for wedding.
My advice would be to def start w some cheap beauty supply wigs and get used to the look and feel of them. Watch some videos on how to fix things u dont like about the wig. And BEWARE of the wigs u buy online that look so natural and great on the models. And the wig advertisements you see on instagram. Their advertisements look great but they will send u the bottom of the barrel.

I did extensions, not a wig. I would talk to your hair stylist about their recommendations, and for sure go with human hair. My extensions were around $260 so I imagine a full wig would be twice that or more for great quality.
