Will body shimmer + dress = smudging?

Lisa, on August 20, 2019 at 5:51 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 4
Hello. Has any only worn some kind of body shimmer on their wedding day or will be? I would like to but I'm afraid of the shimmer smudging or transferring onto my white dress. Has anyone found or know of a good quality body shimmer? TIA

I've seen other posts on here about body shimmer not photographing well FYI. Just something to think about!

I would also be concerned about it rubbing off on guests. You’ll be doing a lot of hugging that day!

A powder highlight can be used to accentuate the shoulders and collar bone for nice highlight effect. I do this for most special occasions. I wouldn't go full out on putting something sparkly all over your arms/chest area. That just seems a recipe for disaster and not very natural

    Hey Lisa!

I would definitely recommend you speak with your makeup artist and get his/her suggestions. Any body shimmers I have used in the past have had some sort of smudging and transferring. A powder highlight may be the best way to highlight but it would need to be placed on super carefully!

Have you booked a makeup artist yet or do you plan on hiring one?
