Will your father escort you down the aisle? Or are you ditching this tradition?

Ditched it! My hubby & I walked together.

My father and brother will be walking me down the aisle. My father wasn't apart of my life much as a child, but he is becoming more apart of it now in my adult years. Sentimentally my brother represents my childhood and my father represents my adulthood. Since my father and I have been building our relationship, I didn't want risk that by excluding him....and figured this way I could make them both happy.

Unfortunately my dad it’s not gonna be able to be at my wedding .but my fiancé’s father is going to walk me down the aisle.

I’ve always said when I was younger that I wanted both my parents to walk me down and that’s exactly what I’m doing 😊

My (step)dad will walk me into the room up until a certain point then hand me off to my grandfather to walk me the rest of the way

Yes, my dad will walk me down. We're extremely close and I couldn't imagine not doing this tradition.

Unfortunately I’m gonna have to pass on this tradition.. My dad passed when I was young, so either my older brother or my son will walk me down the aisle...

I want to walk alone but my dad would be very hurt if I didn't let him walk me so he is. We aren't doing any of the giving away stuff at the end of the isle though. I'm not an object.

Proud to ditch this one. I will be giving myself away and its very important to me that I do so. Ive been on my own since I was 15, Im now 41. Independent for a very long time. Giving myself away is huge for me.

I walked alone. I am my own person. I entered this marriage clear headed and of my own will. I wanted my walk to reflect that.

(also, there is no family in my life)

I wish! My father passed away when I was 8 years old, and I don't have any other father figures in my life.

I'm either going to have one or all 3 of my brothers walk with me down the aisle, or I will be walking by myself.

My dad might not even be able to make it, so I’m walking myself. I was planning on walking with my FIL but he passed last year.

I walked with my dad. We are very close and it was something I really wanted to do.

I wasn’t going to, but it meant a lot to my dad so we’ll do it.
