Hmmm...I'm actually not sure as I hadn't even considered it.

My mom will be getting ready with us as she is an 'honorary' bridesmaid so she will see me getting ready. She would have been my maid of honor had I not always envisioned her walking me down the aisle

I plan to do the first look with my fiance but didn't know doing the same with your parents was a thing! Maybe I can incorporate my step dad after my fiance (since my mom will actually be one of the first to see me ready to go, maybe I can have her get my step dad while I do my first look with my fiance?). So many things to consider!!! Thanks for the thought!

Yes, I want my dad to do it! I've heard in catholic weddings both parents do it? But my sister in law only had my FH walk her down, so I think it can be just one person too.

However the more I think about it the more I want both of them to.... IDK now 😖 😫

Sadly no. He passed away in 1987 when I was 17. I don't have anyone to give me away. I'll probably give myself away

I am remarrying, so this tradition wouldn’t make sense to me anyways. But my family situation is awkward and complicated at best lol. I’ve asked my oldest son to walk me down the aisle and he is very proud of this honor.
i feel that entering into this marriage is something we all are doing (children from previous marriage) and it’s important my sons feel included and honored. Yes it’s fh and I wedding, but he will also become their step dad. It’s a big deal.

My dad has not been a huge part of my life and I don't have a stepdad - but I know my dad would be hurt if I didn't have him walk me. I know for sure that my 4 year old son will be walking me down the aisle/giving me away - but I haven't decided if it will be just him or him and my father.

Since this was my second marriage, I chose to walk alone. My dad did walk me down the first time. I feel like since I am older and have been on my own for many years now, it would have been strange to have him do it again.

Both of my parents will be walking me down the aisle.
