No unfortunately my father has passed but my older brother is walking me

I don't have a good relationship with my father. So my father in law will be walking me down the aisle. He's going to be so cute in his top hat and cane!

Going traditional with this one. My Dad is the sentimental one in the family, much more so than my Mom, and I know he is excited for this. My fiance would be happy to do nothing in a traditional manner, but I put my foot down about my Dad walking me down the aisle, and the father daughter dance. I'm very close with my parents and they are as excited for the wedding as I am!

I'm so sorry for the loss of your father. That's so sweet that you're older brother is stepping in though!

Sadly my dad passed away a year ago so I won’t be able to have this honor. My brother in law will be walking me down. He’s very special to our family. Has always been like a second dad to me and has stepped up as the patriarch of our family.

No - this is my 2nd wedding...he walked me down the aisle the first time...and it was lovely. This time is all about my FH and me. he will walk down the aisle on his own and I will walk down the aisle on my own...we have picked some fun music for each of us to 'walk' to.

Yes! ❤️ But I might ask my mom to escort me too. My FFIL is officiating, FMIL will escort FH down the aisle, & my dad will walk me so I want my mom to be included too.

My father passed away 2 years ago so I'm letting my oldest son walk me down...

We are super close, so yes, he'll be walking me down the aisle. FH and I took a picture at his church on Christmas (before we were engaged... but I knew it was coming), and I sent it to my dad. Warned him it's a really long aisle (it's a big church) and laughed.

He's 110% going to cry, because my dad is an adorable mush.

I love this idea! My mom and I are really close, I think she'd be touched if I asked her to walk me as well.

My mom & dad are walking me down the aisle. I’m also asking the officiant not to say “who gives this woman to this man?” Idk, that line just bothers me because it makes me feel like I am property in the midst of some creepy patriarchal exchange (which is technically what that line originally meant). So I’m asking him to say “who blesses this marriage?” So it sounds more like my parents are saying how happy they are instead of an exchange. I’m also not wearing a veil for that reason. I just don’t like the symbolism behind the veil.
