Wine Bottle Guest Book

I have not seen this at any of the weddings I have gone to, but this is a super cute idea!

Following. I love this idea as well we are both big wine lovers and I think it's a better idea then a guest book we will never look at but also am curious how it actually worked out for someone who has done it!

Make sure you get wine that can last year's in a bottle! Many wines can't last 5 years bottled. Love the idea!

Even to do your favorite wines and keep he empty bottles in your wine cabinet!!

No, but FH and I will be buying two cases of the same wine (red, South African (where our safari honeymoon will be) made in the year of our wedding, 2018. We plan on opening a bottle every year on our anniversary.

FH and I went to a wedding a few years ago where they did this! They had a bottle and sharpies at each table so you could sign whenever and then they had a bottle for each anniversary (we were table 9 so they won't get to ours until their ninth anniversary lol)

You will likely need some better quality vintages if you expect them to age. And note that whites will not generally keep nearly as well as reds.

Have you considered champagnes? Good quality ones should be good for quite some time.

Just out of curiosity though, are you planning to keep the bottles after or whatnot? This seems like it could take up rather a lot of space.

I did this for my friend’s bridal shower, with champagne bottles. I think it’s an awesome idea! Hers turned out great.

Were not doing bottles, but we are doing wine corks for the guest book. Having everyone sign a cork and drop in a glass jar/vase.

I have seen this! As sad as it is to say, put a sign out saying do not drink! A friend did this and someone opened one of the bottles and drank like half of it.

I think I’ll do this but I’m probably going to paint them matte black, then I can use them as decoration.

I will be keeping the bottles in our wine rack. Once we drink the wine for our anniversary, we will probably pitch the bottles depending on space. I have a local wine shop that agreed to help me with the shelf life of different wines.
